To pay for the service, you pre-purchase tokens, each token costs 50 pence.
You can purchase tokens with your credit card online and can optionally enable subsequent purchases to be
authorised by TXT message from your mobile phone.
Each time you define a new ALERT you spend 1 token, this includes the cost of the first time you use it.
If you re-use an ALERT you are charged a single token when you start it.
To encourage you to use the service responsibly, and to minimise false alarms where the user has forgotten to cancel,
each time an ALERT is started a further 4 tokens are taken as a deposit for each emergency contact attached to that ALERT.
These tokens on deposit are returned to your account when the ALERT is stopped on time.
You may, on occasions receive GOLD TOKENS you have one of these in your account when you first register with AMBERresponse.
A GOLD TOKEN is worth up to 5 normal tokens, when it is used to pay for an ALERT, it covers the cost of the ALERT and
the deposit for the first emergency contact.
If a GOLD TOKEN is used to pay for the ALERT it is spent, whether or not the ALERT is stopped on time.
AMBERresponse will always take payments in GOLD TOKENS first in preference to normal tokens. You cannot swap SPECIAL TOKENS for normal tokens.
